WHY YOUR FEET?

Training under the expert guidance of both Dr. Kim Ross and Dr. Alan Lustig, gave us the in-depth knowledge and skills to competently perform the complex assessments of anatomical structure and function to enable our patients the best possible outcome in designing and prescribing orthotics that compensate abnormal biomechanical faults, and its’ function that effect the kinetic chain.
Dr. Kim Ross, Director of Clinical Services and Research at The Orthotic Group; PhD. in Biomechanics from the University of Waterloo; Director of Education at the Canadian memorial Chiropractic College.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR PROBLEM IS?

WE ASK -WE LISTEN!

How do we diagnose abnormal foot function?  Using state of the art technology in the form of the TOG 3D SCANNER.  We physically and gently move your feet into correct anatomical position to demonstrate exactly what we see in you and how it should be corrected.  We’ll ask you to perform a simple standing procedure that will open your eyes to understanding the kinetic chain of either pronation or supination.  Looking at the following pictures of correct and incorrect postural alignment, you can easily understand what we are trying to demonstrate to you.
Treatment options for any of the above symptoms, depending on severity, are customized in a comprehensive individualized care plan.  As Podortho Nurses, we do not work alone.  With the expert advice and treatments from our team of professionals, we can address, reduce or eliminate pain located on various parts of the body.  The foot does not stand alone, (excuse the pun), but is a member of the body.  The feet play an imperative role in the kinetic chain, affecting joints as far as the cervical spine!  Robert Gerry, our Myomassologist and Jobeth Constan RPN, CRA, our Reflexologist can offer major advantages in treatments in combination with Laser Therapy and a correct Orthotic.
